Egypt opens a new year and a new museum exhibition. This time we are talking about the Crocodile Museum, which will appear opposite the Temple of Kom Ombo in Aswan.
The city, which is in constant demand among tourists, is located on the eastern bank of the Nile, in the southern part of the country. The exhibition will feature forty embalmed crocodiles of all sizes at once. The smallest one reaches almost one and a half meters in length, the largest reptile is five meters long. The museum, which is announced by the Egyptian Tourism Authority, will open exactly on Aswan National Day (celebrated in January). The exhibition will also be decorated with statues of the god Sebek, with whom the cult of crocodiles was associated among the ancient Egyptians. He was called «crocodile god».
