With Miss Eco Teen International 2020, an ecological beauty pageant for teens, Egypt is trying to «raise» interest in its own tourism and attractions. Several cruises and safari trips are planned for the participants, including a visit to Giftun Island.
In total, 35 delegates from all over the world, including Russia, are participating in the competition. It is organized by Albatros White Beach Resort in Hurghada in partnership with ECOSPire, and will run until December 6th.
So, on Monday, the participants visited the Big Aquarium of Hurghada, where they took pictures with turtles, dolphins and sharks. On Sunday, they saw the tourist areas of Hurghada, such as the Hurghada Museum. Including posed with artifacts of the ancient Egyptian civilization, especially the statue of Queen Merit-Amon — the goddess of beauty.
“Miss ECO Teen International is an international beauty pageant aimed at empowering young people, building self-awareness and impacting the environment. The event brings together teenagers from all over the world. Its main goal is to select the next Teen Queen who will voice the interests of teenagers around the world, promoting environmental responsibility, ”the organizers say.
They also take into account that the competition is being held at a time when Egypt is trying to revitalize its tourism sector in the face of global travel restrictions. “The events of Miss Eco Teen International 2020 in Hurghada are going smoothly,” they reported.
