The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism plans to promote the country through the digital IGTV channel on Instagram. It announced the launch of the TV channel on the page of the Egyptian General Administration. The main goal is to promote tourism, and as the Egyptian side emphasizes, such a channel can be called the first of its kind in the Middle East.
“The Ministry of Tourism is currently looking for new advertising campaigns on the most influential and targeted social media platforms in order to expand its scope to a wider audience,” the Ministry of Tourism said. According to him, social media is «the language of our time and it attracts different people, especially young people, who depend on social media to plan their trips.» They also expect that the canal will act «as an important bridge for strengthening communication and understanding between Egypt and tourists around the world.»
Accordingly, the TV channels will present documentaries about the tourism opportunities of Egypt, which can be watched 24 hours a day. We are talking about the Instagram channel «Experience of Egypt», which currently has about 80 thousand subscribers and 1534 photos. Moreover, not only sea resorts are presented, but also the antiquities of the country, as well as excursions around Cairo.
Recall that while the flow of tourists to Egypt shows positive trends — revenues reached 170 percent growth in the first seven months of the year, reaching $ 3.5 billion. The number of tourists visiting Egypt increased by 37.1 percent.
