At the same time, Egypt will offer five tourist programs totaling 5.3 billion Egyptian pounds at the March Economic Forum. This information was announced on Monday by the Minister of Tourism of the country, Hisham Zazu.
Investments will be directed to the construction of a resort hotel in Hurghada (1.076 billion Egyptian pounds). A resort hotel will also be built on the northern coast (318,000). Two new hotels will appear in Marsa Allam (1.215 billion and 663 thousand, respectively). Sports Center A in the southern province of Safaga will launch a sports and recreation complex (1989 billion Egyptian pounds).
Last year, Egyptian tourism revenues grew 27 percent from 2013 to $ 7.5 billion. In the same 2014, the inbound tourist flow into the country reached 10 million people against 9.5 million who visited the country in 2013.
On the other hand, at the end of 2014, the number of overnight stays decreased: 94 million units against 97 million a year earlier.
