After a break of several years, Air Moldova has resumed flights to Hurghada International Airport, the first flight arriving on Thursday.
The flight was launched to Hurghada due to the steady demand from Moldovans for rest in the Red Sea resorts.
Ehab Shukri, head of an Egyptian company that hosts Moldovan tourists in Egypt, said long-term contracts had been signed with Air Moldova.
“The first flights from Moldova will bring 180 tourists, this will be at the first stage, by autumn the volumes will increase,” Shurki said, adding that the weekly flight will be operated on Thursdays. The charter chain is calculated until the end of November.
