The airport in Sharm El Sheikh, which was closed on 9 September due to a sandstorm, has resumed operations.
“At the moment, the planes redirected earlier to Hurghada have landed at the Sharm El Sheikh airport. In turn, at these minutes, flights to Russia, delayed due to bad weather, are also resumed from here, «a representative of one of the airlines from Russia told RIA Novosti.
Recall that on Wednesday, a strong sandstorm caused by the Khamsin wind completely paralyzed the Sharm El Sheikh airport and partly the Hurghada airport, as a result of which at least 2 thousand Russian tourists were stuck in this resort. In the resorts of the Sinai Peninsula, all excursions were also canceled, and tourists fled from the wind and sand in hotel rooms and with the help of medical masks or other bandages.
