The Red Sea in Egypt has been overwhelmed by flocks of mermaids from all over the world. The Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh hosted the annual Miss Mermaid 2019 World Final.
40 mermaids from all seas and oceans cut across the underwater beauty of the Red Sea. The World Mermaid Competition, a competition of sports, beauty and beach glamor, took place for the fourth time in the land of the pharaohs. Water sports games, diving competitions, entertainment, shows and many tests with strict evaluation criteria: mermaids had to prove every day that they were real.
The contestants proved their mermaid affiliation with the help of numerous scuba diving, deep diving, long diving, underwater photo sessions, and talent contests. The mermaid costumes presented by the girls and underwater posing were evaluated. This year’s competition was supported by the luxurious Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh and again by the tour operator ETI Express Travel International.
Situated in the heart of Sahl Hasheesh Bay, the 5-star Baron Palace Hotel is idyllically located in the heart of Sahl Hasheesh Bay, just outside Hurghada. Sahl Hasheesh is an oasis filled with natural wonders, with a 600-meter sandy beach and diving and snorkelling sites. This elegant hotel in oriental style offers luxury, comfort, as well as a garden, a pool with cascades and meditative places, an amusement park — an ideal place for competitions among mermaids.
The naval crown title fight took place in two exciting final evenings — twelve German contestants took part in the Miss Mermaid Germany 2019 elections and 28 contestants from around the world in the Miss Mermaid International 2019 elections.
When choosing the best mermaid from Germany, the first place was taken by 22-year-old Paulina Pleger from Frankfurt, the second place was taken by Stella Stegmann from Odenwald, the third place was taken by Sara Milewski from Kassel.
The second final night in Egypt became even more exciting as the Miss Mermaid International title was contested among the international contenders. After a spectacular show, the title of the best mermaid in the world Miss Mermaid International 2019 was won by Janella Elledi from Peru, followed by Jacielle Furtado from Brazil, and third place went to Adrienne Wilson from Hawaii.
